Description
Coconut Mould (Coconut Soil) - A Natural Green Media
Coconut flour, also called Coco Coir or coconut fibers, is a natural, sustainable and environmentally friendly growing medium made from the outer layer of the coconut shell. When coconuts are harvested and processed, the brown outer layer is removed, and the fibers from this undergo a process where they are compressed into various forms such as briquettes, blocks or loose coconut mulch.
Coconut flour is an appealing alternative to traditional growing media such as sphagnum peat moss and garden soil because of its many advantages. It has a high water-holding capacity, a porous and airy structure and good drainage properties. In addition, it is pH neutral and does not contain pests, diseases or weed seeds.
Plagron Cocos mulch can be used as an indoor and outdoor growing medium. Cocos Brix is ideal for growers who want to use a pure and natural product. Cocos Brix is treated with calcium and then rinsed with clean water, which creates a very stable medium without fertilizers and salts.
Coconut potting soil 100% is free of pathogens, weeds and other contaminants that can affect seed germination. It is therefore very suitable for organic microgreens, where you cannot use garden soil or seed soil (including organic seed soil) to obtain true organic vegetables.
Coir mulch has a high ability to absorb and retain water, enabling it to hold much more water than regular soil without drowning the roots. The result is healthy growth and solid root development.
Coconut flour is a sphagnum-free, biodegradable mulch product made from sustainable raw materials. It is produced from residual products from coconut oil production.
