Description
Smart PAR meter, PPFD & DLI – QUANTUM meter
A PAR light meter, or photosynthetically active radiation meter, works by measuring the amount of light in the spectrum that plants can use for photosynthesis. This includes the light between 400 and 700 nanometers in the electromagnetic spectrum.
It is important to understand that not all lighting is equally effective in supporting photosynthesis. Some parts of the spectrum are more useful to plants than others, which in turn is different from what we humans need.. PAR light meters are designed to take this into account and therefore provide a more accurate assessment of light intensity from a plant perspective than a traditional light meter.
Generally speaking, a PAR light meter works by having a sensor that can pick up light within the PAR spectrum. This sensor converts the light into an electrical signal, which can then be measured. The result is typically given in micromoles per second per square meter (μmol/m²/s), which indicates the amount of photosynthetically active radiation falling on a particular surface each second.
How the PPFD & DLI Meter works
The PPFD sensor from SunFlux is easy to use and does not take up much space. One side of the meter has a quantum sensor that is aimed at the light source to be measured. The data is sent via Bluetooth directly to your phone or tablet, where you can view the measured data via an associated app.
Precise light measurements for better plant care
The intelligent plant sensor makes very precise measurements of light intensity
Make plant care easy and manageable
The plant sensor makes it easy and clear to care for your plants. The sensor is connected to your smartphone or tablet via the app, from which you can get a precise overview of your plants' light level.
Get answers to: Is there enough light for my plants?
Many plants typically die or fail to thrive because they get too little light. Therefore, it is important to know how much light diner plants receive during the day, and it can also be of great economic importance to give the plants the correct light. You can quickly and easily get an answer to this with a PAR meter from SunFlux.
Logging of data
The device sends its light data via Bluetooth directly to your phone or tablet. The daily measurement data is saved hour by hour, and you can thus follow the development of your plants' light needs.
