Pre-germination: January to March
Greenhouse cultivation: Sow from February to March
Outdoor cultivation: Sow from March to April
Planted in soil May to June, the distance should be approx. 50x40cm between the plants
The fruit is ready to be harvested from July to October.
Sow seeds on the surface of a good, well-draining and moist seeding mix and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite, alternatively you can use coir as growth medium.
Place the seed trays in a room with a constant temperature of around 15-20C until after germination, which takes 7-14 days. When seedlings develop 2 true leaves, they are repotted into individual pots of min 7.5cm with potting compost and continue to grow at a minimum temperature of 15C.
When the tomato plants are of a good size, they are transplanted into larger pots or containers. When all risk of frost is over, they are gradually acclimatized to outdoor conditions over 7 – 10 days before the pots are placed outdoors in a sheltered position in full sun, or in the greenhouse.
